Goals:

  • Increase participants’ ability to identify and describe adolescent anxiety, including common anxiety disorders, symptoms, and risk factors.

  • Strengthen participants’ ability to differentiate normal stress from clinical anxiety and evaluate when additional support or intervention may be appropriate.

  • Equip participants to explain and demonstrate evidence-based strategies for managing anxiety, including grounding, coping, emotional regulation, and resilience-building techniques.

  • Enhance participants’ ability to recommend appropriate supports and interventions for adolescents experiencing anxiety, including evidence-based treatments and school-based resources.

  • Describe behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms of anxiety.
